Centro Tecnologico National de la Conserva y Alimentacion
PRESENTATION
The National Technological Centre for the Food and Canning Industry (CTC) is a private non profit research association inaugurated in 1997 in its new location at Molina de Segura (Murcia), a small industrial town known like the "cradle of the canning industry". CTC's origin is the Canning Industry Research Association (AICV) founded in 1962. It's recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Education like Centre of Innovation and Technology.
CTC's Board is integrated by members of the enterprise and the Regional Development Agency (Instituto de Fomento de la Región de Murcia). The Assembly is integrated by the more than 150 member companies.
CTC's objectives are :
- To promote research, development and innovation in the Agrofood sector.
- SME consultancy activities.
- Technological services.
- Training at all levels.
- To make our industry more competitive.
- Technology transfer, etc.
CTC deals with all agrofood products, processes and technologies.
CTC is member of the Federación Española de Entidades de Innovación y Tecnología FEDIT at the national level and the Federation of European Industrial Cooperative Research Organizations FEICRO and Association of European Science & Technology Transfer Professionals ASTP at the European level. CTC actively works with the CENEMES, the South East of Spain Innovation Relay Centre. These relations keep us up-to-date in all the scientific and technological offers and demands that we transfer to the interested industries, helping our companies to meet the technical demands of the modern food industry and to identify market and technological opportunities.
